What is the best workout for bulking cycles? Should I lift heavy and rest longer or lift and rest shorter? Although I have been lifting for a few years I always struggle to find the perfect combination to maximize growth!December 8, 2018 at 9:58 pm #7540

If you have been lifting for a few years and not gaining much bulk/muscle then you are obviously doing something wrong! It might be your workout rate or your dieting plan. For your question on the basics to building muscle then you should:
1. lift heavy
2. rest 2 mins
3.lift heavy again
The heavier you are lifting and the less rest between reps the more damage you will do to your muscle fibers. Then, YOU MUST REST! Give it 2 days at first before you rip the same muscle group again!
Try this for a month and read the article I have listed above and you will gain muscle. But, also remember that genetics will come into play. Some people can build muscle quicker than others! Just keep at it and keep us posted, please.

I agree some of my gym friends seem to build muscle quicker than I do. I am going to try the workout rate you suggested and see how this goes for my body. I am also going to use the rest days suggested in the article!
